Our Pen Pal Program is a tradition that brings our second graders and Central’s senior/varsity football players together! Throughout the football season, students and athletes exchange letters, getting to know each other while building school spirit and community. During our marathon, Central Athlete Day, the football players even come walk with Mrs. Owings' class!
The highlight of the program is game day—our second graders are recognized during a home football game, proudly wearing their pen pal’s away jersey as they walk onto the field to have their names announced alongside their football player. Afterward, everyone sits together on the visitor side to cheer on their new friends. It’s an unforgettable experience full of fun, friendship, and school pride!
